The location is good as it is close to the town center. The bathroom wall had some stains on and the counter top was not thoroughly cleaned. There were some mosquito like flying bugs in the room for the 3 nights I stayed. There were a lot of tour groups staying in the hotel; there were not enough seats in the cafeteria for breakfast as all the tour groups had breakfast at the same time. Overall, the room is spacious and the staff were friendly.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Staff were enthusiastic and always eager to help, breakfast was sufficient and good quality, location wise, right on the edge of a busy shopping center, quiet and safe.

Nice spot
We stayed at this Hyatt Place during a visit to Shaolin Temple and The grottos. The hotel was lovely, the complimentary breakfast was unexpected and great. Enjoyed our stay. There is a ton of construction in Luoyang and traffic was crazy in the area.

Comfortable base for visiting the Longmen Grottoes
We had a one night stopover to visit the Longmen Grottoes. The hotel is very new, with good sized, comfortable rooms and a pretty good breakfast offering. Luoyang is pretty big, so not much was within walking distance (except for lovely Wangcheng Park over the road). However, the hotel reception were very helpful in organising taxis to the grottoes and Longmen station. The bar was also very welcome after a long hot day too! Once the subway opens in a year or two, it will be super convenient.

The breakfast was good and the hotel well located. Some attention is required to maintaining room standard such as in the bath room where tiles are not grouted properly and water hardness is causing deposits of calcium.

On check-in we were placed on a smoking floor and not offered an option for a non-smoking floor. When we eventually moved to a non-smoking floor, guests still smoked on that floor and the no smoking policy was clearly not enforced. The carpet in the 1st room was wet and the safe was also not working. Although we indicated that there would be 4 guests - 2 adults and 2 children, the sofa bed in both rooms was not adequate to accommodate the 2 children. The reception and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Family Vacation
Breakfast was excellent. Room condition was good. Easy to get taxi nearby. Lobby starts from the 6th floor, but has a big Hyatt sign out-front and also one of the tallest building near-by. Overall, the stay was excellent. Perfect for a family vacation.

Disappointing Service
Very disappointed in the service at the Luoyang Hyatt. I understood that the hotel is relatively new, but the honeymoon is over. There’s simply no excuse for poor service. The hotel occupies the higher floors of an office building. However, there is little branding on the building except at the entrance to know that there is a Hyatt hotel. The taxi driver who picked us up at the train station didn’t even know there was a hotel there despite giving him the address in Chinese. The entrance to the hotel is down a service road off the main drag. However, it seems that the hotel wants to discourage taxis from pulling into the entrance as parking cones are placed to block the entrance. Any time we needed a taxi during our stay, we were told we could hail one from the street. Most hotels would call a taxi if one is needed. But not Hyatt Luoyang. Seems the staff at the front desk really didn’t want to be bothered. Their replies to questions were always inadequate. When we left the hotel at the end of our stay, I was trying to hail a taxi in the pouring rain while my wife waited with two large suitcases and a carry-on. Thanks for the help Hyatt Luoyang. In other areas, the cafe was decent enough although it was only open for breakfast. No other restaurants on site. The room itself was modern and comfortable. The environs not so good. At the end of the day, the service mentality does not exist. Poor training or management.

New Hotel Nightmares, NOT your usual HYATT quality
Potentially a nice hotel to stay at with a good location but......the hotel is going through opening and training staff. The Chef prepared good food and the staff were basically nice but the Management training was none existent. IMO the Management that were there were dressed in their own importance and wore the title in NAME ONLY without any knowledge of what a Manager was supposed to do. Example. I was checking out and they could not return my deposit. I gave them notice I was checking out the night before and before my breakfast. All the Management could tell me was not to worry, I would get it back.....problem was I was leaving to GZ and back to Vancouver. The Manager refused to give me his business card so I took his picture, which he was not happy with. I had to leave without getting my deposit returned because I needed to get to the airport to catch a flight. No problem, I just call my credit card and advised them. My taxi I ordered for my trip to the airport left because I was held up with getting my deposit back so I asked for a hotel car. Sorry, they said, there was nobody to authorize it! This is NOT the usual HYATT quality hotel yet....hopefully in a year or so with HYATT's outside training they will get there.

I have stayed at several Hyatt hotels before and felt I got better quality rooms at other places. For one the ice machine was not working. However overall it is in a good location, staff spoke English and were courteous.

New hotel in the heart of Luoyang
Hotel is new though the decoration is simple. Wifi is a bit slow. Breakfast is good though not much variety. Staff in reception is very helpful. We wanted to book a car with driver to different sightseeing spots in different days, the plan was quite complicated, but she instantly understood our plan and needs and arranged the transport for us, in very short notice. Many thanks.

Good hotel but teething issues
Hotel was in very good condition but with a few teething problems where service is concerned. There was a general lack of service where the food was during breakfast and dinner which I think points to a lack of training/management from what I saw during my stay. All in all though a very pleasant stay and the staff were friendly.

チェックイン時対応もスムーズで丁寧。1泊のみだったが高層階の眺めの良い部屋で心地良かった。朝食も当地ならではのめずらしい物等食べられたし、チョイスも色々あり楽しめた。 1つだけ大変残念だったのが、ホテルのすぐ前に高速道路？建設中のため降りたバス停留所からホテルにたどり着くまで大変苦労した。今年11月には工事は終わるそうだが、そのような細かい情報はなかなか日本にいると分からないので、困った。タクシーも工事終了まではホテル前には停車できない。

とにかくお部屋が広くて気分がいいです。 Bluetooth 対応の小型スピーカーも、USBジャックも備えつけられていて、かなり快適に過ごせました。アメニティ類も申し分ありません。強いて言うならホテル内に中華のレストランがあればもっと良かった。近隣に沢山レストランはあるので、困ることはありませんが。

ホテル周辺で地下鉄・高架道路の工事が続いており、ホテルの入り口が少しわかりにくくなっています。 周辺は少し、騒々しいですが、ホテル内は静かです。 ハイアットの中では中級のプレイスブランドなので、非常にシンプルです。 スタッフは皆親切でした。

V Luoyang je dobré bydet v lepším hotelu. Hotel je umístěn cca 12 km od vlakového nádraží Luoyang Longmen. Z nádraží na hotel jeďte taxi. Ceny taxi velmi levné cca 2CNY/km. Hotel má na svou kategorii velmi dobré pokoje. Pokoje jsou prostorné a velmi příjemné. WIFI dostupné v celém hotelu. Bazén na hotelu je velmi dobrým bonusem. Plavání po výletech bylo velmi osvěřující. Snídaně jsou velmi dobré a odpovídají úrovně hotelu.Personál hotelu je velmi ochotný. Snad jenom by měli zlepšit angličtinu. Základ pro hosty je doprava, proto personál by měl mít připravenou spolupráci s taxi. Trochu byl problém zavolat dva taxi na odvoz. Z hotelu na jeskyně Longmen Taxi. Na Shaolin použit taxi na vlakové nádraží a z nádraří busem na Shaolin. Orientace ve městě je velmi jednoduchá. Luoyang a Hyatt Place mě velmi příjemě překvapil

きれいでわかりやすい場所にある
きれいでお部屋も広かったです。朝食も大都市のホテルと同じようなレベルです。 大きな通りの交差点にあるので、わかりやすい・探しやすい場所です。 洛陽が地下鉄工事中で、そこら中で道路の車線減だったので、渋滞がひどく、タクシー移動での時間がよめなかったので、せっかく大通りに面していて、目の前にホテルが見えていてもなかなか到着しない、という感じでしたが、地下鉄ができれば、ますます便利になると思います。 従業員の皆さんも親切でした。

Great hotel with noise from outside
I would say this hotel’s staff had made their best effort to satisfy their guests. During my three nights’ staying, the only thing bothered me was the MTR construction. They work 24 hours non-stop. The noise was not so noticeable, but it did when everyone supposed to be sleeping. Luckily I brought a pair of ear plugs. I start using them on the second night. By the way, I was staying on the 18th floor. The highest floor. The front desk asked their technician to see if there was anything wrong with my window, but there wasn’t. Anyway, if you are not a light sleeper, I would still recommend this hotel to you.
