I would highly recommend the Hotel Pacaru for your trip to Macchu Pichu. The staff was helpful and supportive from the minute I checked in until I left the next day. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and has easy access to the Bus station for the ride up to Maccho Pichu.
There are many restaurants and shopping directly around this hotel.
The 7th floor breakfast area provides a spectacular vista of the whole town.
An added plus in the rooms is the walk out balcony that overlooks the rushing stream and the town below.
I will definitely choose this hotel next time I visit Aquas Calientas and Macch Pichu.
Special mention of the front desk lady, Ms Mariposa she was excellent. The hotel is clean, literally 2 min walk from station and in midst of all doable things as well as the bus stop for Machu Puchu.
The hotel looks pretty new and the room and bed were clean.
Service was really good. Even asking hot water in the middle of night was kindly accepted.
Mary, the front desk person, was very kind and informative about the hotel and around the area.
I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who's visiting Aguas Calientes
