"The best thing about the Restoration is definitely the staff. You can certainly tell it is privately on versus a corporate chain. If staying look at the details that you do not see any other quality hotels. You want because some of them are unique to the property & very forward/functional and their implementation. It seems purposeful to give image to the gentleman who built the house down the road. You feel that legacy throughout the Restoration. Choose wisely friend. ✌️🐝 w/ 🐏"
"I love this property. The location is perfect and staffers are helpful and friendly. The property is being renovated so several of the amenities are unavailable."
"Staff was excellent! Room was not the greatest for the price. Outdated, small, several lights did not work. We had a king mountain view. Room service was great with the exception of where to eat! In room table was just a side table, very uncomfortable to enjoy the meal. History of the hotel was interesting and the spa was exceptional. Disappointing that the main pool was down the road. Food was excellent."
"Clean, and decent breakfast.
Housekeeping was hit or miss, though... The website says "daily housekeeping", but we were there five days/four nights, and the beds were only made twice, new towels came on the fourth day, ran out of toilet paper and had to request extra, and trash pick up was barely done...we had to track down housekeeping to empty the cans.
Breakfast was good and plentiful. The only suggestions I'd make there is don't put tea and sweeteners and creamers etc so far away from the hot water dispensers... also change up the fresh fruit -- not everyone likes melon and more melon."
"Wonderful hotel to stay in for a couple of nights. Reasonable price, walking distance to downtown. Our only complaint was that there’s no coffee available until 7 on the weekends and 6:30 weekdays. We’re early risers and it would be great if coffee were available in the lobby early. It’s quite a drive to get it outside of the hotel and the coffee shops nearby weren’t open early either. Aside from that, we had a wonderful stay."
