"A great location in Tiburon. Walking distance to Sam's which has an incredible view of the city. The room was clean and spacious with two queen beds. Staff is very friendly - check in was a breeze."

"Great location , easy walking all over Sausalito and to hop on ferry to and from SF. Front desk “star” Robin was so helpful with suggestions on great places to eat as well as tending to our timing for coming and going."

"We have stayed here before and had a great experience. This time our first room had a smoke smell to it so I went back to the front desk and they immediately switched our room, no questions asked. I was very appreciative since we didn’t want our clothes to smell as we went out. The rooms are great! Clean, good amenities, and beautiful views! The location is walkable and close to a great little bakery. Parking is one of the cheaper in SF and is very secure, you have to key in and out of the gate."

"This hotel was a hidden gem. Super nice staff, restaurant on site was delicious, rooms were great, and the lighting was amazing, bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern. I would absolutely stay here again! Maybe have a slightly wider variety of after hour snacks available, that was the only criticism!"

"The property is a bit tired. The landscaping and parking lot need attention. The room was clean. The toilet sat about 6” out away from the wall behind it. There is a lack of attention to details. The room pricing seems high. The breakfast was nice with lots of fresh fruit."

"Excellent experience and service at this lovely historic hotel! The front desk staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. My standard queen room was quiet and comfortable; I loved the pretty bathroom with clawfoot tub! Room had a tiny fridge which is always helpful. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous dining room with hot options and waffles. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are available all day. So glad I chose this hotel and would definitely be back!"

"Great location. Room was clean, however, the carpets ( very much so), upholstered furniture cushions REALLY need cleaning. Bathrooms could be cleaned more than only once a day. Other guests were friendly. Very funky historical building, so interesting in that regard. The hallways were crowded with old furniture and very dusty and dirty. For safety and ease of mobility, those hallways should be open and clear. Windows in our room were difficult to open, and blinds were broken. Other than that,...

"The Evergreen is a jewel. Small, modern, comfy and overall clean. We especially appreciated the quietness. Our bed was comfortable. They don’t offer breakfast but our room had a Nespresso machine and the lobby has one also, as well as a flavored water machine. There is also a Peet’s coffee shop right by them. On the negative side, we did have trouble navigating to and from I think because of their location or perhaps because we aren’t familiar with the San Francisco area. The shower temperature...

"The Star Motel was a perfect choice for our trip to San Francisco. It was clean, cute, conveniently located for public transportation and for walking to big name locations. Having a free parking spot with our stay was also a life saver! The only negatives I would say is they did not have water in the lobby or ice machine room to fill up water bottles, though they did have a fabulous coffee maker! And there was a faint strange rattling sound from the corner of the room, but it really wasn't that...

"I stayed during the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon and the location was perfect. Trek bike shop near by, food not far away and close to race start. The staff were great, rooms were big and bus stop out the front. It really was the best spot for this race. The bath was good post race as well. Overall highly recommend!"

"This is our second time at this property. The first time our room was great, no issues. This time, not so good. They did renovate their rooms ( floors, shower)but ours came with a dilapidated table. They could have put a bigger table and a bigger nightstand, the room had space for bigger table and nightstand. On our last night there were a couple of ants inside the bathroom.
