"The location was perfect as it was close to the Barrymore Theatre and a short Uber ride to the cruise port. I did not like that they applied a $30 "required" amenity fee that was not disclosed during booking. With the fee, they provided a $20 gift card to be spent at their café or restaurant. "Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful, which is especially important for out of towners coming into NYC. Michael, in particular, went above and beyond in anticipating what I needed even before asking. The room was as very clean and had everything I needed. The location is good; right in the middle of everything."

"The hotel was in a fantastic location, close to great areas and multiple subway stops. Check in and out was seamless. The room was very small, perhaps a little tight for two people but manageable with a comfortable bed and cute little shower. It was loud at night due to being directly on bowery, which is the only issue - but if you have earplugs and tire yourself out, it shouldn’t be an issue."

"To be clear, the rooms at POD39 are small. Actually tiny. And, probably one of my new favorites in the area around Grand Central. The room - tiny, sparse, super clean, nice bedding, cool!, dark, quiet. In room shower/toilet/sink also tiny and completely adequate. This is not a room you will hang out in. It’s a sleeping space with private bathroom. If you bring a lot of luggage, go elsewhere. If you travel light and spend the days out, stay here. The roof top bar is amazing. Lovely view of...
