"I always stay at the Lockkeeper when I'm up visiting family. It's clean, comfortable with plenty of parking and excellent wi-fi (I worked from the hotel one day, including video calls). The staff are always welcoming and friendly and I often eat at the pub when I stay. It would be good to have an ashtray by the hotel, the only ashtrays are currently in front of the pub."

"We really enjoyed staying at forest lodge. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed in the bar area. Staff were welcoming and kind and friendly. A lady gave us a free bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate our anniversary. Sitting in the bar having a meal and a drink was one of my highlights on our break. Some of the hotels main procedures cause them a bit of difficulty. For instance asking everyone for photo ID at check in- if this needs to be done it could be done at booking. Also...

"After mentioning an issue with the room first allocated to us upon check-in, we were directed to another room, it was excellent… very spacious, view of the river, very clean and lovely bathroom. We had an excellent night sleep in a huge king size bed, it was lovely and quiet especially after closing time. Looking back at what time we checked in, we could’ve timed it better because it was in the middle of food service in the restaurant and it was very busy, so there was a bit of a wait to check...

"We had a good stay at the property, staff was very friendly and helpful, bed was huge and very comfortable, comfy pillows too, nice specious room which was tad dated but was clean enough not to spoil our stay. Good pub attached to the hotel, great that it had little play area to keep little ones happy and on the day we arrived there was a bouncy castle which was huge bonus. "My friend and I only stayed here for a single night so we could visit Chatsworth House and we kept talking afterward about how we wished we had stayed at least another day because this inn was absolutely wonderful! The room we had was so adorable and lovely, plus they had complimentary snacks and refreshments for us! "Booked here for a trip to Nottingham (as prices in the City itself were prohibitive). Located by rail and tram stops, the Hotel was ideal for my purpose, and an affordable price. Welcoming and frienly staff. Excellent pub food with a great range of local ales on offer. Basic room and facilities suitable for my visit and fairly reflected in the price. I found the bed a little uncomfortable but thats probably just down to personal preferences, so all-in-all an excellent base for my stay."

"Really great stay - I arrived late, but service was very prompt despite this. Room was lovely and shower (pressure and temperature and enclosure) was absolutely brilliant. Breakfast in the morning (full English) set me up for the day and the staff were very friendly and chatty. A great stay, a lovely place, I will be back."
