"Lovely spacious clean rooms. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The first night we had to park on grass because the parking bays were full when we came back late! The next day we managed to get a parking space. Everything else was excellent."

"Originally from Horncastle now living in the USA, The Rodney is always where we stay when visiting. The staff are so friendly and the food is really great, especially the breakfast, such a nice selection. My only suggestion is that they need to put a small fridge in the rooms, apart from that, love the place!!!!"

"The first thing to comment on is how good the staff were. Helpful and friendly in every area. In other areas the experience was good but fell down slightly on detail. The room was cosy, but needed a bit of TLC. A bit of paint touching here and there. Dinner was good, but the sea bass was tiny and the lamb pie was parsimonious with the lamb. The sticky toffee pudding could have been warmer. The menu is not cheap. At breakfast ingredients were excellent but eggs cooked too long, tomatoes too...

"Room excellent, upgraded to executive room, but on 2nd floor, with no lift working. This was OK, but only because we had very light luggage. We really need a ground floor room if there's no lift now, as we are both pensioners sand beginning to experience mobility issues with stairs."

"The property was clean and tidy and couldn't be faulted. The problem was with their check in procedure. Phone a number which took nearly 20 minutes to get answered requiring repeated redialling. After getting the key to the room, it turned out the wrong key had been put in the keysafe box.....so... another phone call to their help desk, this time taking 25 minutes to eventually get answered. Once that was finally sorted out, all in all over 45 minutes, i ended up being late for my appointment...
