"Great property in convenient area for exploring the island. The property is going through renovations, it seems all double bed rooms are renovated while the king bed rooms are going through renovations. Initially I was given a non-renovated king room and it was not pleasant…upon addressing my concern with the front desk, they placed me in a renovated king room and it was like staying in a completely different hotel - great room! The property is very well maintained with a beautiful little beach on the grounds. Highly recommend as a perfect alternative to resort properties "

"The Outrigger was an amazing place to stay. We walked out the door and to the beach about 100 yards away. We went snorkeling right off the beach and saw turtles, and so many beautiful fish and coral. The people who ran the Outrigger had many complimentary, fun things to do at the hotel every day, like weaving baskets, hula dancing lessons, and learning to play different instruments. All of the people working there were very friendly and helpful. If we have the chance to go back to Maui, we would definitely stay there again."

"This resort is outstanding. I'll list the very few negetives I can think of. As of June, 2025, expect to pay $27 for a burger, $25 for chicken strips, $50+ for steak or seafood, $17- $21 for mixed drinks. Breakfast will be $30 a person or $40 for the buffet. All the lounge chairs will be claimed by 9am; shaded chairs gone by 7am. Nobody will be at them, just towels and maybe a book. Daily self parking is $40 in addition to the $50 daily resort fee. Otherwise... it's beautiful, convenient, ocean views are world class, and the beach is incredible. We love it. "
