"This resort is incredibly maintained and the staff is so courteous! The soft sand at the beach is a nice change of pace from the lava rock “sand” at other beaches on the Big Island. Fresh water dispensers are located throughout the resort- thank you!! The food is great at each restaurant.
Recommendations: Could benefit from an additional hot tub!"
"Very lovely location and very remote and safe compared to the rest of the town. The waterfall house is a full house with all amenities and is an absolutely fabulous place to stay.
The cabins are cute and we had the place to ourselves but if we visit the big island again we will be sure to reserve the waterfall house for the full stay because it’s just so wonderful!
Staff was very helpful, peaceful, clean and quiet."
"We had the ocean view room on the second floor. It was newly renovated, with a beautiful private bathroom and beautiful wood work throughout. We were a bit spoiled when we were there, since there were no other guests on our floor during our stay. The kitchen and living room were spacious and well equipped, and Josh was always there to help us if we needed it. We would definitely stay here in the future"
" rooms very clean, had afternoon drinks at the bar, staff helpful in showing us all the breakfast, lunch, dinner menus. We had a very late lunch and it was to close at 400pm. We wanted to try the fish and chips and staff was very accommodating even though it was close to closing the lunch menu, fish/chips excellent, fish so fresh!! we're coming again for fourth of July weekend for our anniversary and looking forward to our trip again!!!"
"We love this lodge and stay here every time we are in Waimea, at least annually. The views from the spacious rooms are a gorgeous sight in the mornings. The staff are efficient, the parking and wifi free. The bathroom is also spacious. The location can't be beat, it's convenient and central to the quaint town.
You will have a little noise from the upper units if you are in the bottom units, but the town is quiet and we have not had any terribly loud neighbors. Also, the area is rural and the water pressure is a bit weak.
Regardless of those minor things, we absolutely love this little gem."
"Loved everything about our stay. Spacious and clean room, beautiful view, lovely pool area. Pool bistro food was meh. Staff very helpful when we had a little inconvenience arise. Highly recommend!"
"There is no Air Conditioning, only ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The shower in the lower level is all hot or all cold, nothing in-between. Tried to adjust for five minutes with no luck.
There is not onsite staff to check in or out, but there is someone living onsite."
