The place was locked up when we got there. Apparently the owner had left town about 3 weeks ago. Very disappointed that everything looked ok online in terms of reservation and confirmations. Not sure who to blame.
Very unique property. was very sad to learn we're some of the last customers.

Found toys and scraps of paper on the ground from the previous guest, bed seemed too small to be a Queen, air conditioning did not work and our room was at 79 degrees at 10PM. Staff downstairs was not working past 8PM so nothing would be done about it.
Bathroom was very nice.
Will not be coming back.

Restaurant was closed for remodeling and not disclosed when booking.
A great, beautiful, historical property, but with great amenities on property or very close by.
The gathering areas on each floor are wonderful and beautiful on their own and the room was peaceful and quiet.
I will definitely stay again to take in the historical sights and Horicon Marsh Wildlife area as I was visiting relatives on this trip. A definite Must Stay!

Historic, Comfortable, Clean and Quiet
I really loved this place. The building was interesting to look at, the bed was soft, and the room was very clean--including the comforter, which apparently some hotels in Wisconsin definitely do not do. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that some parts of our room needed some maintenance. For example, one of the switches on the whirlpool tub was kind of broken, and we had to try it like 10 times before the tub would turn on. The bathroom door was stuck in the doorjamb--which meant that I was actually stuck in the bathroom once until my husband could come and open it. That said, we will 100% return to this hotel if we are ever staying in the area again. My husband and I were kind of sad that we probably won't be coming through Wisconsin again any time soon!
Nice place. A little spooky. We were the only ones staying at hotel. Girl at front desk very nice and showed us to our room.Room was nice and clean. She left and nobody came back that we know about. Even when we left in the morning at about 10 am there still was no one there. We did have a key to the front door but no one else was in the hotel. Nice lounge on each floor. Had trouble working some light in room. Place was nice. Hotel was on corner of the downtown area. Could walk to some of the restaurants.
This is a very unique place to stay. We had a very relaxing time. Enjoyed the jetted tub. I would recomend they add safety handles in the shower. Was difficult getting in and out.
Parking is an issue you have to park on the street but not allowed to park on Main Street overnight in front of the hotel.
An excellent experience. Quaint setting in a neat town. Walking distance up and down the main street including local cafes and coffee. Rooms neat and tidy.
Cozy room, comfy bed.
We were made to feel unwelcome into the bar for a beverage unless we agreed to a $100.00 dinner!
So we went elsewhere for beverage and meal.
The rooms are large and clean bathtub was wonderful. Infused ice water waiting for us in the room. Bed was a little saggy but still comfortable. Cute small town.
Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Place is a little outdated but to be expected for a historical building. Zero breakfast options. Has the feel of a bed & breakfast, without the breakfast. Would have loved a basket of muffins at the door in the morning. Very cozy and spa options were a plus. Facility charges prior to your stay, including any added services which was a little bit of a surprise.
Authentic old time hotel with retro style and a great attached restaurant and bar. Enjoyed the unique food prepared by a 4 star chef. Very convenient to Horicon, WI, home to a large employer. Would recommend it to anyone.
The Inn absolutely deserves your attention! My stay was amazing for Holiday traveling. The room was very spacious, bed was fantastic, and each levels lounge areas made it feel like your own little home. Staff was wonderful, they were right there if you needed anything or quietly in the back round letting you explore and relax. Historic charm and beauty. Only draw back was the town itself not having more shops in those historic buildings of their main street. Still the Inn is worth a stay.
Charming historic Inn beautifully decorated with antiques. Warm, welcoming staff and nice touches, like a cafe of fruit infused ice water on bedside table.
Surprised my wife w/ a romantic weekend getaway...
Beautifully decorated from the era, this 1890's hotel has huge Jacuzzi bathtubs in the rooms and high-end towels/linens. We arrived back from lunch to find robes/slippers on our bed with a note telling us to wear them to the spa at 3pm for our couples massage! It was divine. We also ate at their farm-to-table restaurant. They require your selection by 2pm for the 7pm dinner, as it is very small and intimate. The chef demonstrated how to make the dessert (Bananas Foster that day) and then served it to us, along with a beignet. That demonstration made the already fabulous dinner even more memorable. The only thing I would improve upon is the bed. Although very soft and lush, there is lack of support somewhere, and I rolled towards my wife all night, which put stress on my back. Overall, it is a grand and relaxing place. If you like nature, take a walk on the floating boardwalk at the north end of the Horicon Marsh. The south end is lovely too.
