An older property, clean . WiFi wasn’t working so no tv . But for a comfortable bed , clean room it was just fine for a good nights rest.

Even though this is basically the only option for accommodation in the area it should be avoided at all costs. The rooms are deplorable, filthy and should be condemned. Exposed electrical wiring, stains on bedding, holes in walls, door taped together, no in room coffee making facilities and the list goes on. Expedia should be embarrassed to have this on their site. On the bright side the staff at check in (in the attached gas station) were pleasant.

Staff is very unfriendly, we canceled our stay after one night. Apparently the owner is a good guy. We had to contact him directly to get the room that we paid for in advance I even showed person at the desk the email saying that we were confirmed.We had driven 9 hours and he wouldn't let us have our room. I'm not to fussy as it was a work trip. The heat works, the hot water works, and it had clean sheets. The convenience store is open 24 hrs. 👍 Good enough for me!

Night staff was friendly. There were mice in our room and droppings on the bed. Reported to morning staff and he said he already knew about the mice and was extremely dismissive about the issue.

Remarkably, the bed was clean and relatively comfortable and the linens were clean. The bathroom had not been cleaned, garbage on the floor. No coffee pot, no toilet paper, no glasses. Only show in town, I guess.

You get what you pay for. This is a very old place. Not in great shape, but serviceable for overnight. No pillowcases on pillows. My bathroom was fine, but my friend in the next room’s bathroom was almost unusable. If you just need a stopover, or are rockhounding and just care about rocks and a place to crash, this is it. The food at the casino across the street is great and well priced.

The only game in town. Room was old, sand blown in under door when we opened the door. Curtain rod fell when we were trying to close curtains. Bathtub either dirty or stained. No trash can, cups or glasses. Bed was comfortable. Too noisy.

This is the only spot in the area to stay, you are literally in the middle of nowhere. The Staff is wonderful and everything works. It is old and shows it, but they continue to do what they can to update it as things get busier in the region. There is only so much cleaning you can do on something that is older and not modernized. Given that this put me over an hour closer to where our fieldwork was, that is worth 5 Stars right there. It's old, and shows, it's dusty, because everything here is, again, this is the only place near McDermitt Caldera that gives quick access to it. Really appreciated the Staff and having all my basic needs taken care of.

Basic improvements are needed. Towel racks, glasses for water, facial tissue box would be very helpful for guests. Drips of white paint should be removed from the natural wood bathroom door, and other spills on walls should be cleaned. Even though this motel id in a remote location, it really needs some improvement. The manager works hard and makes coffee for guests each morning.
