"Clean. Good A/C. Breakfast had lots of options and changed everyday. Staff was nice. Pool is large. only complaint is food and drinks are very over-priced. and could hear the Masjid blasting their speakers from inside our room as early as 3:45AM"

"What a fantastic place to relax. From the first moment, when you drive down the bamboo tunnel, you just know its going to be great. Stayed for a couple of nights in a Cliff Tent Pool Villa, which had great views across the ocean to Menjangan Island. The Cliff Tents are well spaced out, so it is very relaxing. Tents are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Food at both the restaurant and as Room service was excellent, and we had a delicious floating breakfast for both mornings, sat watching deer over the water in the West Bali National Park.. Would highly recommend this place for a getaway, and we already have another booking for our next stay. Just remember that there is not a lot else in this area, other than a snorkelling trip to the island, and you will not be dissapointed"

"My wife and I stayed at Melaya Estate for 3 nights in September 2025. The villa is spacious and comfortable. There is a private pool and direct beach access. It's a quiet area, very peaceful. The staff is excellent. You tell them what you want from their menu and they bring the food to your villa at the specified time. The food is excellent. We are birders and the manager arranged for a driver to take us to the Bali Barat National Park, about 20 minutes away. We highly recommend these villas for nature-oriented customers."

"After communicating by whatsapp with someone from Sumberkima Hills Retreat, we knew which villa would be appropriate for us to book. We are in our 70s and have some mobility issues. The villa was easy to access for us and to go to the pools, as well as the restaurants, we could book a shuttle, so we would not have to walk up and down the hills. The problem was that once you were driven there, you were required to walk down, or up many steps. This is just to make people with mobility issues aware of access!! The whole property is truly beautiful and there are amazing views from everywhere you look. From our villa (Asmara 3), we could see the hills and volcanoes in Java, as well as the ocean. At night we witnessed the sunset, and in the morning the sunrise. Taking a taxi down the hills is expensive, so we did not leave the retreat during our 3 night stay."
