"The Glengower was perfect for our two night stay in Aberystwyth. Our room on the third floor provided a good night's sleep and was a good size, with a good bathroom. One thing to note is that there is no lift, so if that is an issue for you, you would be advised to go for a lower floor. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of options. We took advantage of the excellent evening meal from the bar, which we ate on the terrace at the front with a sea view, but which could have also been eaten...

"This is a quirky place just off the promenade ,there are no staff at reception but an envelope with all details and actual keys to your room and front door.We could see the sea from the bay window and had a shared bathroom ,there are rooms with en suite but fully booked for our stay. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options,two cheerful girls cooking,no sign of the owners but it all worked smoothly ,also the eggs are from a local farm."

"Fabulous room ( Syfydrin ) facing the falls and the mountains. Bathroom was 'tight' but shower was excellent. We ate dinner at the hotel. Good atmosphere even mid-week in late September. Highly recommended esp if you are travelling in Mid Wales. The scenery close to this hotel is stunning."

"I'm glad that I stayed at The Castle Hotel finally. It was very pleasant! My room was spacious and had nice views out of the windows, the bed was comfortable, the staff were pleasant. It wasn't right in the middle of Aber, so it was quiet (minus the noise from the car racing - but I had a great view for it). Easy walk right down to the sea. The only drawback was not having a lift, but that is pretty common and my fault for having a heavy suitcase! I would definitely stay again."
