You can walk to many restaurants, and the major markets are all within a walking distance. The people of Chiang Mai are friendly, and the cost of living is low. "This was a nice solo stay at the Noble Baan. If you are looking to avoid a hostel stay, this is a budget hotel that does the job. I appreciated that it had a balcony. You will need a scooter or to take taxis if you stay here, but I personally prefer to save on lodging and have a scooter. If you are scared of renting a scooter you can use rideshare apps to hire a scooter or car with driver to take you into the city. "
