"A lovely location and great facilities. Great staff and bar area had a lovely atmosphere. Morning breakfast was delicious with attentive staff. Rooms were very quiet, hotel had a lift which is very convent as the steps are steep to the 2nd floor. The rooms are a little tired and the bathroom window privacy screening is in desperate need of replacement. Kettle is completely scaled up and cups were also dirty so this needs to be addressed. Ok Value if the above were dealt with then it would be...

"Great place to stay for Forest Live. Hotel is lovely, warm and welcoming. It was a warm day so quite hot inside but we spent time outside in the huge gardens, the bar was open and we sat next to the river. Breakfast was superb, fresh fruit and proper butchers sausages! Would definitely stay again."

Having had to slum it in a rival establishment a few years’ ago, when there was no room at Poets Corner, it was a relief to note how well looked after we were."

"Staff were lovely. Check in was good. Although couldn’t book us in any earlier & we were attending an event which was a shame. But no huge issue. Parking superb Bathroom lovely. We stayed in Sariska room which is on the front of the building. Being a Saturday night stay - it was a tad noisey & nothing to do with the hotel. But some car with a loud exhaust drive up & down quite a lot during the early night. We closed the windows to block it out but then as we’ve had this hot weather the room...
