  • This place is right behind the James L Knight Center, right between the Brickell Avenue and the S.E. 2nd Avenue bridge. I was on the North side of the Miami River pointing my camera South East. I found plenty of parking for a reasonable price. Best time if you want lots of action would be Friday or Saturday night. For a more desolate nights I would recommend Monday thru Thursday night. Here you will find an incredible amount of photography opportunities to shoot for. While like any big city you will find a few homeless folks, the place was very clean and very well kept. Lots of new, very tall buildings have made the Miami landscape a very popular site for photography!

This place does not look like the pictures! I booked one night on February 15, 2026 just to rest after an event, and the experience was completely unacceptable. Room D102 was extremely hot, the ceiling fan did not work. Upon arrival I was told the A/C is centrally controlled and shared with other guests — something that was never disclosed when booking. It was unbearable to rest due to the heat alone, regardless of all the other poor conditions. The property is very old and poorly maintained — rust in the bathroom, loud squeaky floors in the room and no basic hotel essentials provided. There were no toiletries at all — you must bring your own items — which was also not disclosed in the listing. I went to reception multiple times, maintenance never showed up, and I requested to speak with a manager but never received a response. There was no effort to resolve the issue or offer another room. I chose not to stay. Expedia agreed to issue a refund if the hotel approved it, but the hotel denied it. I have videos documenting the conditions and will be providing them to my bank to dispute the charge. Extremely disappointing, poor customer service and lack of transparency.

The grounds and courtyard are beautiful with lots of lush foliage and trees. The rooms are clean but need a few things like a bath mat, cups, hand towels, television, coffee maker and maybe some pictures on the walls would be nice. Also no coffee available anywhere on the property. Restaurant is not opened at all on Sunday. The staff was very nice. I think with just a few improvements this hotel could be a very nice boutique hotel with lots of old Miami history.

Quick and easy check in after a long day trip and late evening arrival. The room was perfect for the 2 of us. Comfortable bed, safe and qyiet property. Room didnt seem to have a thermostat so was a bit hot at first but cooled overnight. We had a good courtyard view and quick walk to the river park.

The only thing nice about the hotel, where the grounds they were beautiful. We couldn’t enjoy the beautiful pool because it was ice cold. Put my feet in it. My feet turned blue. We had no face towels or washcloths. I had no light in my room. We stayed in the apartment. My room is facing the grounds. I was kept awake from the loud music until 1:45. I’m sure they Photos shopped all the inside rooms. Everyone was crowded in the office complaining about their rooms . Bad experience.!!! is that time was within walking distance, and restaurants, that was a lie. The closest place to eat was nine minutes by car. We had to get an Uber.. will not recommend this an Expedia shouldn’t either. I’ve never in my life for a negative complaint.

Rooms are old and need some tlc, smell like mildew! No rug, or washclothes in bathroom, window stuck open. Loud music when trying to sleep and blinds let in so much light its like you have the light on, the tv did not work. The grounds were beautiful though and the pool is nice, but water was too cold to swim. Place needs some serious work!!!

Not properly maintained nor staffed. The shower handle fell off when I turned it. I was in a room with a shared bathroom so I had to exit my room to use it. Doors have a keypad, mine stopped working so I was locked out, I had to walk shirtless in front of the restaurant to the reception. The attendant unlocked it for me but it still didn’t not work until he came back 45 min later to replace the batteries. Luckily it was the end of my day so had no more appointments, if not I would’ve had to leave the room unlocked. Some accountability would’ve been nice like comping a night or something, but nothing more than an “oopsie”

The hotel is close to the airport and extremely noisy. The room windows have poor insulation; they are old single-pane glass. I was also placed in a room next to a bridge, just a few feet from heavy traffic. The room does not have individual air conditioning. The system is centralized and was not working. I contacted the hotel and was told someone would come to turn it on, but no one did. Later that night, I called both hotel phone numbers several times and received no response.

Had a LOVELY stay here while in town for the marathon. The team is kind, responsive, and accommodating. The pizza is delicious. The bedding is luxurious. Highly recommend.

They switched me to their sister property which was a total let down, roosters crowing everywhere at 5am, after parking only that was impossible we had to park 3 blocks away.. we were told we could go to the main property to enjoy pool and stuff but we booked the place with the pool.. bathroom was so tiny you can’t even use the toilet without turning sideways this was a total joke!!
