We booked 2 family rooms and were assigned 2 Maisonette rooms. I did not complain to the staff at the time because we had a full schedule and no time to change hotels and I did not want to ruin my vacation with a verbal back and forth. Facts:
1. there were ants on the floor, bed and pillow- I have video.
2. black mold on the shower head and shower walls and glass - have photos.
3. One of my guests stayed in a top loft where the fabric back board was stained and there was garbage under the bed. She changed beds and her room because she was not comfortable.
4. The bidet drain was broken.
5. We sat on our first day on the cafe chairs which were inviting and had coffee and croissants from a local vegan bakery. We were quickly told that we couldn’t sit there by a male staff member. And that it was reserved for the restaurant. We were embarrassed because he was quite upset and we picked up our breakfast and went to our room. Unfortunately we did not have a terrace (like other rooms) to have our breakfast. Perhaps a classier way to handle the situation would have been to say “I am so sorry but the garden is reserved for the restaurant and we frown upon outside food, please finish your meal but I just wanted to let you know. Is there anything I can bring you? Again my apologies” BTW there were no signs, menus or any indication that the outdoor area was part of the restaurant and there were many people outside with no food smoking and reading books.
