It is on the left side of the river Guadalquivir. Today it has installed in it the Living Museum of al-Ándalus that shows the coexistence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures from the 9th to the 13th century. It is part of the Historic Center of Cordoba which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
