"I received a phone call from reception that We were supposed to check out on a day in the middle of our stay. When I pointed out we had 4 more days reserved, I was told we had to switch rooms in order to stay. On top of that they didn’t have a room for us to check into, so we would have to checkout and then check into later in the day. Eventually we got a room and I moved our belongings. Also there were college grads partying all night keeping us awake. We call front desk, they went to talk to them, didn’t help. Front desk told me they couldn’t do anything about it. Had a sleepless night. Sink and tub drain were slow, wound up standing in water while showering. TV didn’t work. My son’s room had a leaky toilet. NEVER use this hotel again. Front desk folks were polite but ineffective."

"Bernardston, Mass. is a tiny hamlet in Western Mass. near Greenfield 9 miles from my son's family, his wife and my grandchildren reside. The Inn where I normally stay was closed so I sought a new place to stay for a week while visiting them. What a total surprise, what a total pleasure. This is a cozy 12 room motel, recently under new ownership and recently renovtated. The owner is delightul, attentive, incredibly service oriented, gracious and the room was spotless, spacious, and I spent a week in total comfort. I have every intention of continuing my stays there whenever I visit which is frequent. The resort is in close proximity to the small town of Turners Falls, it's country and then some, the Connecticut river flows nearby, rolling hills dotted with cattle farms and the community boasts amazing theater and arts. If you are looking for a family friendly, comfortable place to stay whether for an overnight or an extended stay I cannot recommend the Windmill Resort highly enough. "

"The on site restaurant and bar was very good. Breakfast is only served on the weekends. Perhaps light continental and/or coffee in the lobby would be good to have and be included as complimentary."

"Really convenient to UMass campus and Amherst. Rooms and bathrooms were large but note that walls are very thin. Luckily our neighbors were considerate! Breakfast had good options. Only con was that Fox News was blaring through breakfast which made a bad start to the day."

"The whole place is clean and bright and very well kept. We loved the swimming pool and also the breakfast. Beds were comfortable and the little kitchen was excellent. Overall a much much better experience than most roadside-type of hotels."
