"When I came into the town of Shipshewana at 3ish I noticed that the traffic signals was not working and found out before checking in that there was no electricity in the entire town because of a storm overnight. So I went ahead and put my luggage in the room and continued on to my destination in town that had a generator running. I came back to the hotel at 8pm and found out that it still didn't have power. "It's a budget motel so don't be surprised with slightly dirty rooms, damaged furniture, mediocre service, and a limited breakfast. If you want a quick place to stay it works but if you care about motel experience I don't recommend this place."

"This is a terrible place. I have no idea how it receives such a high rating. Walls are in need of repair, no shower gel and the girl didn't know how to replace it, beds are horrible - when you sit on the edge you have to be careful not to fall off, floors are dirty and there was no hot water. Not the worst place, but the worst in a long time."

"This hotel is relatively new and is just beginning to show some signs of wear like chipping here and there is the bathroom, scratches on the bedside table, small holes in the window blind. It is generally very quiet there and the walls seem to be thick enough to block out the TV or other normal sounds from adjacent rooms. If you value quiet, don't take a room on the first floor. "Nobody was at the desk when we got there. Other customers were waiting to check in also. Was given a room that had door adjoining next room, whoever was in that room was extremely noisy. The hand held shower head did not work."
