"Lovely hotel, the staff are amazing, a credit to the hotel chain, you feel welcomed immediately as guests. Beautiful inside and out lovely and clean by amazing housekeeping staff. The only thing I'd change, is the food menu and some dining recccomendations for guests. In the bar area, to do laid back dining like scampi and normal chips, (not skin on) not everyone likes these and thats all that's available. The bar menu, is still too 4 star the menu, if you want a more laid back eating...

"Our favourite Sheffield hotel, at the moment. It is set in a beautiful location on the quayside but still easy to walk to the city centre. Cars are safe in the carpark at a reasonable rate - £8.00 for 24 hours. Our room was amazing and had 2 double beds with a bath/ shower and tea making facilities/ iron & ironing board. "Good comms on the phone before I arrived. Kindly suggested that I park at the secure NCP car park next door as there had been some theft recently, which was cheap enough. The room I was given had been smoked in (not the hotels fault) - the guys on the reception immediately swapped me to another room with no quibbling which was great. "Very disappointing to arrive on site a 1845 and discover that there was no restaurant facilities and no bar available for a drink. The booking confirmation stated that both were open 11 till late, but it's actually 6pm when the restaurant closes. There is an expensive shop open to buy student type food, but we didnt fancy pot noodle when we were hoping to be dining in the restaurant. Very misleading information. "

"What a great stay , from the friendly staff at reception to the free cookie on arrival ( what a great surprise) The room was stunning!! I had a lovely view of the canal. Great fresh variety of food at breakfast , absolutely delicious. 2 slight faults , room service menu was outdated in my room and what I had my heart set on was no longer on it although the substitute offering was fab ! The room fan occasionally made a really loud annoying buzzing noice thankfully with a bit of changing of settings it didn’t impact my sleep. "
