"Great apartment, but the stairs are not for the faint of heart, some parts don't have real railings but ropes. Otherwise, the beds were very comfy, loads of light and from the upstairs you can see the river, good shower as well. "We stayed 4 nights at VC Heritage Ribeira and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment we checked in the service was beyond amazing. They even found out it was my birthday during our stay and went out of their way to deliver a bottle of champagne to the room. You cannot beat the location and the cleanliness is a 10/10. "The hotel was at the heart of the city and made it very convenient to commute to other places in the city! The service was impeccable - right from the check-in to check-out. I had to check-out very early in the morning and the hotel staff were so thoughtful with helping me arrange for a taxi to pick me up at a scheduled time and prepare a breakfast box for me to take. "The hotel is difficult to reach from a main road and one must walk up a very steep incline to reach the hotel which is poorly marked. No reception with difficulty in obtaining the entry codes. Then we were place at the very top room which had a very tight winding stairs without a handrail and was extremely difficult to lug a suitcase up.
