"Pros: Ocean views, close to Big Sur and beautiful hikes etc, spacious room, big bed with clean linens, dog friendly, pretty grounds. Cons: Coffee shop not open until 8–but k cups in room if you like that. Didn’t love the restaurant food. Room felt a little motel-y but was large—maybe a little awkwardly large with a huge dated walk in closet w loose shelves. Didn’t realize the living room and kitchens were shared space. Dogs weren’t allowed in those areas either and we traveled with our pup. There was a dead rat on the property our dog was drawn too which was obviously disappointing. "

"This place needs a new makeover. Everything was outdated. The carpet was so dirty and filthy. When you take a shower, the drain is so slow it fills up the tub. The only nice thing is the location and the staff. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I booked a three day stay and left on the second day. 1 star "

"Most importantly, the bedsheets had large stains including potentially blood. This is 1. disgusting and 2. suggests the possibility of bedbugs, although I did not see any or see other evidence of them. Also important: The inner lock on the door was missing, making it impossible to secure the door beyond the key-lock, which felt a little less comfortable. Less important: The lighting in the room was terrible. But the staff were all very kind and helpful! Five stars to them."
