"The room was very nice and clean but you have to have a room key to access the elevators which is disappointing. We went down to breakfast at 8am, having left our belongings in the room to go back up to the maid cleaning our room for us to leave. We had to grab our stuff and rush out, hoping we didn’t forget anything. "Great location, staff was very helpful - one night we were locked out of the parking lot because they lock the gate at a certain hour. However, the valet attendant recognized our car and opened the gate, so we didn't have to go all the way around the building. This was wonderful because I just had foot surgery and really didn't plan to have to walk a long distance. "

"This is an old hotel where you can grab a drink at the beautiful lobby. However, the rooms are old. The bathroom was not clean. The tub had other people's hair. The actual room is just old. The breakfast was not good. "

"this was the absolute best place to stay in memphis! it’s exactly as shown in the photos, but somehow better? the room’s flourishes were so thoughtful. we were greeted by squirrels in the morning. the hosts were communicative & the whole process was smooth! we will definitely stay here again! oh & the shower.. the water pressure is perfect & the shower gel/hair products smell divine!"

Also, temperature in the restaurant was frigid - so cold we got our food to go because it was so uncomfortable. TV was out during a storm - they should consider ditching satellite. "

"The hotel is very nice but the restaurant was closed just the hotel bar food which was great and staff was great but not a full meal like we expected. The bad part was the area. We had a homeless guy wonder in half dressed while we were at the bar police came but still he just walked right in no security at the outside doors. Then we could not sleep for the drunk homeless guy on the bench outside our window screaming F bombs at anyone and no one and we were on the 4th floor. Its a great hotel...

"Front desk staff (including security and valet) were outstanding. Cleaning staff seemed not as friendly during the free times I saw them. No saying hello, or evening returning the greeting, on the phone, or just not as customer-aware as the front desk staff. Also appreciated that air and heat worked in the room. Only negative regarding the room is the lack of ice dispensers. Overall, a great stay and I will definitely consider this one of my first choices in the future. Great job to the...

"We chose the property based on the photos showing an eclectic design. Our room has an original brick wall and the dual windows were original bay style. I don't typically sit in a lobby but there's was so inviting we did and visited with the staff. The bar/coffee was also fun to visit with the staff! Very friendly and inviting! It is a corner location and on the third floor there was NO traffic noise. And no sirens during the night."
