Our room was in the historic section. The staff was amazing! The most friendly, helpful people I have ever encountered. The kind woman at the front desk went so far as to call her daughter for a recommendation for a vegetarian restaurant for me! Many restaurants within walking distance. Parking is sufficient.
The courtyard is delightful. Spring cleanup has been delayed by recent cold weather. Chairs and tables invite guests to pause and enjoy the tumbling water in the fountain and the warm sunshine.
The Spanish Park and the Carnival Museum are just down the street.
This hotel was adorable! It was Absolutely magical even though I think we had the least impressive room in the inn. I would definitely visit again. Wonderful especially at the price.
This place is so old and in bad shape that should be out of business.
We left stuff there, emailed label and they never returned our belongings. People running this place are a joke. Literally.

Good price and Great location, close to Dauphine Street, its old but lots of character! My 3rd visit, will be back again!
The staff were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was great. We walked to the Saenger Theatre and Daphne street. Lots of restaurants and bars available within walking distance.
We booked same day, so the toom was a corner room, not much view but the courtyard and lobby are perfect. This is an old hotel, so there were imperfections but the staff being so helpful made up for any issue.

The staff were fantastic. The inn is historic, full of charm and beauty.
The first room they gave us had a bad smell because the air did not work. The tv did not work. They put us in a different room that had no air, sink did not drain, and we found rat feces in the bed. Rooms were terrible. I requested compensation for the poor quality.

The hotel is a pretty building with a nice internal courtyard, good atmosphere, excellent, secure parking, and an unbeatable downtown location. However I stayed in once of the "courtyard" rooms, which seem to be the lowest prices, and found it distinctly lacking in comfort. No fridge/microwave (which I wouldn't have expected in a hotel like this), no desk, no comfortable seating, very soft bed, and effectively no surfaces to put things. If you are spending time in one of these rooms, you're not likely to be very comfortable. (In fairness, perhaps the idea -- if you're spending time in the hotel -- is to use the courtyard. And yet . . . sometimes you want to be in your room.)
Charming old hotel conveniently located just a few blocks from Dauphin street, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and amenities in walking distance. Staff is friendly and responsive.
