"Disappointing stay — VIP package promises went unfulfilled I've stayed at ARIA many times over the years and have generally considered it one of my preferred properties on the Strip. This most recent visit, however, was disappointing enough that I won't be returning, and I think other travelers should know what happened before booking a similar package. My reservation was booked as a VIP package that included three specific perks: $30 in restaurant credit, a room upgrade, and late checkout. Not one of these was honored. The restaurant credit never appeared on my folio and was not applied at any of the property's outlets during my stay. There was no upgrade — I was placed in a standard room despite the package terms clearly stating otherwise. And the late checkout, which should have been a simple courtesy already attached to my booking, turned into the worst part of the stay: my key stopped working before the agreed checkout time and I was locked out of my own room. To get back inside to collect my belongings, I had to be escorted by hotel security, which was both unnecessary and embarrassing given that I was still a paying guest within my checkout window. What stands out is not that one thing went wrong — that happens at any hotel — but that every single element of the package I paid for failed, and the resolution involved security rather than an apology or a fix. For a property that markets itself at the higher end of the Strip, the execution here was well below standard. As"
