This Fairmont location fails to meet the standards typically associated with the brand. The hotel did not have the room ready at the promised check-in time, resulting in an unreasonably late check-in. Despite this delay, management attempted to charge for a late check-out — a tone-deaf and frustrating policy given the circumstances.
The overall operation felt disorganized and poorly managed. Frontline staff appeared unsupported and lacked clear direction, which points to a failure in leadership rather than individual performance. The absence of structure and training was evident throughout the guest experience.
Having stayed at other Fairmont properties, the contrast in service quality was stark. This property simply does not reflect the level of professionalism and hospitality one expects from the brand. The core issue seems to stem from ineffective management and a lack of accountability at the leadership level.
Not recommended — especially for guests familiar with the higher standards upheld by other Fairmont locations.
