Juniper Springs Resort

10/10 Excellent

"My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. It was a family vacation my Son and his family and my daughter and her Son. They were camped at Twin Lakes not too far away from us. We are elderly people who prefer to stay in nice places like this. Everything was great the only thing that I noticed was the towels were not very soft but a little scratchy. That was really the one thing out of all the things that could have been wrong. The staff in every department or position were very friendly and nice and always helpful. We will be back again."

"Stayed at Limelight Mammoth and overall had a great experience. Pros - Excellent amenities throughout the property. - Rooms were very clean and well maintained. - The lobby and outdoor areas have a lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and socialize. - The gaming area was a big hit with the kids. - Staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. Cons - Despite posted notices, guests were bringing dogs into the food area and staff did not appear to enforce the policy. This was disappointing for those expecting the designated dining areas to remain pet-free. - The shower door design could be improved, as it wasn't very effective at keeping water contained. - Valet parking at $35 per night felt expensive, especially considering the location and available parking options in Mammoth Lakes. Overall, Limelight Mammoth is a beautiful, family-friendly hotel with great amenities, a fun atmosphere, and outstanding staff. A few operational improvements would make the experience even better. I'd gladly stay here again."

Lee Vining Motel

"If you're looking for a place to stay near Yosemite, we HIGHLY recommend the Lee Vining Hotel! Our room was immaculate, comfortable, and was just what we needed for our four-day stay. It is recently renovated/updated, and our room had a mini-fridge and a microwave. There are also chairs and some tables outside of the room which is nice when the weather in suitable for sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air. The hotel is centrally located in the town and within walking distance to a diner, a barbecue restaurant, several coffee shops, and let's not forget the Mono Cone for ice cream, milkshakes, yummy burgers and such. Housekeeping does an amazing job of preparing the room for guests, including putting a bow on the toilet paper and even making a bow with the washcloths. Not necessary, but a nice little touch. The staff is also very friendly. For late arrivals, they put your key and information on a board at the front of the hotel. Just be sure to let them know you will be arriving late. The Lee Vining Hotel is conveniently located to the Tioga Pass entrance to Yosemite (12 miles), Bodie Mining Town/Historic Park (31 miles/approx 45 min drive), June Lake, and Mono Lake. One benefit of staying in Lee Vining as opposed to Mammoth Lakes is that there isn't a tourism charge in Lee Vining. If you're traveling through or looking for an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay for your visit to Yosemite, we give LVH 5 stars. Would definitely stay here again!"
