Walked to the nearby Esso, was less than 10 minutes, no actual sidewalk however, so maybe harder in the winter. Other restaurants would have been another 10 minute walk …. Uninhabitable: 30°C Rooms, Hotel-Wide AC Failure, and Phantom Management I checked into the Wyndham Gatineau-Ottawa at 9:30 PM on May 19, 2026, only to be casually informed upon arrival that the entire building's HVAC system had failed. I was handed the keys to a room sitting at an entirely unacceptable 30°C, with sealed, unopenable windows. Given the late hour and lack of alternative accommodations, we had no choice but to accept a cheap fan and endure a suffocating, sleepless...
