"This is a novelty choice that we thoroughly enjoyed. Where else can you say you’ve stayed at a hotel built in 1475 and reputedly hosted King Henry VIII? The front of the hotel looks very much from the Middle Ages and could use a refresh (if preservationists would allow it). "While the location is nice the parking is 10 minute walk up a steep hill. Even dropping off luggage is a challenge as it’s right at a very crowded tiny car park. Sadly Expedia sold us the Penthouse room (photos were of it) at a 50 pound discount yet when we got there we got a room with a small window mostly iverlooking the roof and kitchen smoke stack and just a tiny bit of the water. Not happy! Manager said Expedia does that and they have no control. He did take half off dinner but we would...
