Great bed and breakfast inn in Monterey

Wonderful, old inn in great shape and wonderfully decorated. Inn keeper and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is outstanding and a great place to meet other travelers.

Nice B&B beautiful old building and nice staff. Fire alarm in hallway went off two nights in a row so the interruption at 4 in the morning wasn’t fun. Breakfast was delicious.

Lovely Inn with a beautiful garden, old - fashioned comfort ; we felt far away from the city bustle. Delicious breakfast in a lovely dining room! Very nice hotel, would stay there again!

Stayed here for our babymoon and we really enjoyed it. It was tucked away and private and the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed getting our breakfast up in the room by the fire. The bed was super cozy and the sheets were so soft

My husband and I LOVED getting to stay here! The staff here were wonderful! They really valued their guest’s privacy and made breakfast’s so beautifully, and kept the room so clean for their guests. The gardens were spectacular! It felt like home and we didn’t want to leave! The location is close to everything as well! Would highly recommend!

Great vintage Inn with a long history. the vibe is really great inside out. staff was great and the breakfast is very interesting. food is fresh and you get to eat with other guests in the dining room (or you can opt for eating in your room). room is clean and comfortable but not too spacious.

One of the top places in Monterey

Exceptional room. The hotel is older (historic age building) but the amenities are all updated. Breakfast was exceptional and served in the room on the balcony. TV was very small, but Monterrey is not the place to stay in and watch TV anyway.

This property has a lot of charm. If you happen to have trouble with stairs, this one is not for you. We enjoyed visiting with the guests during happy hr in the living room and in the morning at breakfast. The gardens are beautiful. Wendy was very nice and accommodating.

Such a neat place! We booked the library room and it was awesome! Just the right mix of old style and modernization. Somehow I missed that there was no AC but that’s my fault for not reading - not theirs. The staff was amazing and the property was absolutely beautiful. The bed was comfortable and our breakfast was exceptional and delivered right to our room. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Such an Amazing Adventure! We stayed in the library room and experienced quite a find! There are 6 journals hidden amongst the many interesting books and it was fun to read about other people's adventures. Before we left, we added a little surprise to some of the books and are hoping that those who stay after us will appreciate the game of hunt and search!

This is a beautiful hundred year old house with beautifully planted grounds. Deer, birds and a great cat welcome you on the patio. I stayed in the Library and it was warm and cozy, had a beautiful view of the property and provided a relaxing escape in the middle on Monterey. Very close to everything, in a residential neighborhood and the Innkeeper was friendly and kind. There was a delicious cheese and fruit plate and water, wine, coffee and tea available. Highly recommend.

Five stars is not high enough - The Old Monterey Inn deserves seven, at least. Wendy and her staff were wonderful. They made and served us an unstinting early breakfast when we had to leave for a flight before the normally scheduled breakfast. The Grand Tudor house was beautiful and perfectly furnished in the common areas. We had the Garden Cottage, outside the house, and highly recommend its accessibility, the added pleasure of a secluded patio, we were visited by hummingbirds as we had morning coffee on the patio, and best of all, Wendy’s well mannered and affectionate cats, Ivy and Theo, visited each day. We already knew we loved Monterey County. The Old Monterey Inn made it even better.

Cute clean bed and breakfast. The breakfast they serve every morning is straight out of a 5 Star restaurant in my opinion. The atmosphere is to die for. We stayed in the Library, cutest coziest room I’ve ever stayed in. The room is a vacation all on its own. Already planning our next stay we loved it so much
