"Staffs were wonderful and friendly. Prices were amazing as well. Overall we enjoyed our staying at this hotel. However, this place needs some remodeling…! Things were a bit outdated such as bathrooms and kitchen in the suite room,"

"Peaceful place"

"The hotel and the rooms were very clean. It has a complementary happy hour and breakfast. It’s not in the best part of town but of the properties around it, it is definitely the best! The pool was DISGUSTING! The water was murky, It was small, and there were no towels left. There was a massive pile of dirty towels waiting to be collected. Would definitely book again as long as the pool was not a priority. "

"The complimentary breakfast was great. However somethings were not as great. The pool didn’t have any towels in stock. The ice machine was broken. The wait time for guest service was ridiculous. Around the area there were homeless people near the parking which made some people feel uncomfortable. "

"We appreciated that room was nice and clean, and also large enough that we felt comfortable when we decided to stay in for dinner one night. The hotel itself is aging but thankfully the folks that tend to stay here are quieter. Best perk - within walking distance to Asilomar State Beach!"

"The location is great but the property is pretty dumpy. You get the sense that the management only does the bare bones maintenance. I am a regular guest. I had booked 2 nights and asked to cancel the second night and get a credit for another night. It's been several days and I haven't gotten a response."

"We have come to this property for many years in the past and appreciate the location and the historic nature of the building. However, we realize that the property, which advertises itself as a boutique bed and breakfast, has not been maintained or improved and is currently in disrepair. For example, the windows and blinds are not fully functioning. The room paint needs attention, and the carpet buckles. Amenities we enjoyed in the past, like the nice breakfast and cheese and wine, are missing. Breakfast is a small bowl of yogurt and small pastries are set out, perhaps from Smart and Final. Staff seems pleasant but without any authority or knowledge. Daily room cleaning is not offered unless requested. Although we have stayed at the property for many years, we will not go back at any price, but it was overpriced for what we received. "

"Great value. The room was just fine considering we only use hotels to sleep when we are on vacation. The beach down the street allows fires. We had one on our last night and it was great."
