Pretty cool unique cabin! Creepy in a way since it’s literally up a hill and hidden. The pavement road was all gravel. Highly recommend a 4x4 when you get here. No TV inside the room, but Mother Nature sounds made it pleasing. Great for a quick night! Probably won’t book here again, but if you want creepy crawlers and a scary experience stay here! Overall 4.5 out of 5. Reception closes early so get there early.
Very nice and peaceful place. A little cold but the nature all around more than made up for it. Hiking trail right behind the cabin. Beautiful area. Easily assessable to the nature reserves.
We had an incredible time at Cabinas Capulan. Anibal and his family were warm and welcoming. We traveled with our 1 year old and 6 year old and stayed in a small rustic cabin, which was perfect for our trip. We enjoyed exploring the property during the day and on a night hike, as well as a bird tour that they helped us arrange. The farm tour is a must with kids! The owners of the farm and property that has an extensive trail system live on site. You can see the care that they put into the land and guest experience. The grounds (and flowers) were amazing! I look forward to visiting again.

Do the farm tour!
Great location with beautiful views, especially for sunset! Cabins are a bit dated and needing upgrade but otherwise comfortable. Located on a family farm and the farm tour is highly recommended! So interesting! Anibal and his wife are wonderful sweet people! Wish them the best.
Tolle Lodge unter Familienführung. Sehr hilfsbereit; wir haben ein Handy vergessen und es wurde uns freundlichetweise nachgesandt😊. Danke! Super Frühstück. Hilfe bei Ausflügen. Hier kann man herrlich Urlaub machen!
Wonderful farm and eco-lodge with its own small reserve. You can wander among amazing strangler fig trees, see toucanets and marmots and dozens of other bird species, cross paths with coatimundis and agoutis -- and hang out with a very friendly dog. The breakfasts are terrific and the price is more than fair. The location is also terrific, as long as you don't mind a 20-minute walk down into Santa Elena (and a cheap taxi ride back up the hill). We can't wait to go back.

Best view in Monteverde. Cute cabin. Very little hot water, but that's the Costa Rica way. Good breakfast and friendlt staff.
I really enjoyed the family atmosphere and the peaceful surroundings. The grounds were lovely and the view amazing. I wished we had more than one night there.
Excelente el servicio, la vista, en el lugar de las cabinas hay perezosos

There was a mouse hole in our wall and you could hear it running through the walls at night. Aside from this, everything else was great. The mini fridge was excellent and view is wonderful.
Leuke ruime kamers / Cabinas. Goed ontbijt.
Cute little room. Great view. Bed was pretty uncomfortable though, and no fan. Good value for the price. Loved the walking trails

We stayed here one night in the "panoramic villa" and it was perfect. The cabin was very clean and spacious, and the view was great--all for an unbelievably excellent price. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have two dogs that we befriended as well :)
We took a night tour with Ficus Trails, which happened to be right on the property (had no idea when we booked it!)--I would highly recommend booking their night tour if you are staying here! We saw a sloth, kinkajou, and a variety of frogs and spiders and other night critters.
If you like the out doors and exploring the woods, this is the place to stay. They have a super nice and helpful staff. They also have a private trial that is amazing!!! We took a walk and saw all sorts of wild life!! The cabin is clean and cozy. Totally recommend!!!
We stayed here on a trip to Monteverde Cloud Forest. When we checked in, the clerk tried to switch us to a cheaper room than the one we paid for; he said he'd throw in free breakfasts to try to make up the difference. It didn't really, plus we had brought our own food. In the end, after consultations with someone on the phone, he gave us the cabin we had booked. It's a good thing, as the unit we would have been switched to was near some very noisy people. The cabin was quaint, comfortable, and quiet (#8, I think), We engaged Jose (who had posted an advert in the room) to take us looking for birds. He did an outstanding job, and found us four quetzals and a toucan, plus lots of other wonderful birds. The next morning, a toucan flew past my window, which was fun. I also saw a pale-billed woodpecker on the property, and an agouti wandered past. The only down side, really, was that we came home with a bad case of chiggers. I don't know if we got them on the property or when we were out birding, but we had literally hundreds of excruciatingly itchy bites that lasted a couple weeks. So be forewarned: Don't leave any exposed skin around your ankles (tuck your pants into your socks), and when you get back to your hotel, put any clothes you wore in the forest (including shoes) into a sealed plastic bag. Also, take a shower immediately, scrub yourself well, and wash the clothes in hot water!
