Amazing hotel! Wasn’t expecting them to have just beautiful grounds and an onsite nature reserve you can hike for a small fee. Staff was extremely nice and room views were amazing! Would 100% come back!

Lovely hotel with really nice staff. The location was walkable to different restaurants and activities. The property is really hilly but the shuttle was fantastic and very convenient to get around. We really liked the pool and enjoyed the balcony on our room - both were great for spotting wildlife and enjoying the breeze.

Balcony offered great sunset views. Hotel had awesome view point with humming birds and great trails to experience nature as well as peacocks right on property. It's conveniently located near all activities and property is well maintained. Staff is great , very helpful.

Backyard view was fantastic. Kids used to see coatis in the backyard and they were so excited. Staff were amicable. Breakfast was really good with fresh fruit and lot of variety.

Hotel is in a great location, but if you are a light sleeper you may want to ask them to not but you to a neighboring guest. Since walls are super thin. We had nobody next to us the first night and it was great! But second night a lady was talking on her phone all night and we could not sleep. But on the positive side their night walk tour at the property is totally great! We saw a lot of cool night animals and insects and their staff at the restaurants were really friendly and kind. You should try their Brownie with ice cream at their restaurant.

We had really pleasant stay. The grounds the hotel is set in amazing. All the rooms seem to have great views across the valley, with nature being so close. Only criticism is the acoustics, the rooms echoed. I love to go back again.

The hotel is over a large area, fortunately we were located near reception and the breakfast area. There are shuttles on demand that take you to the other areas of the resort such as the pool, restaurant and canopy/night tours. The food at the restaurant was excellent. we found the breakfast buffet to be average, with the exception of the made to order omelettes which were excellent too. Monteverde is much cooler than the rest of Costa Rica so provided some rest-bite from the heat for a few days. The excursions at the hotel and surrounding area are the main attraction as the small town was quiet.

Charming cottage-style property with basic amenities: restaurant, 24-hour gym, souvenir shop, and a partially open “indoor” pool. Food is nicely presented, like elevated pub fare. No luggage room and late check-in at 3 PM. Soundproofing is poor—you can hear neighbors and hallway traffic. Clean, friendly staff, and great views. Good for families or young couples, but not a luxury stay.

It is a huge property with everything you need. Shuttle service was excellent. Activities could be arranged at the property. Breakfast was brilliant. Lighting in the room was poor and room was outdated. Staff was great. However, waiter service at the restaurant was very poor for an empty restaurant.
