"Abbots Mead is a real find, excellent value for money in a central location to explore Shrewsbury on foot. The bedroom was small but clean and nicely presented. The bathroom was a little cramped but was clean and functional. All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. The parking arrangement is not ideal, but central location makes it a real plus point as is worth the effort to occasionally move to let someone out. Leaving the car keys at reception was a surprise, but not a personal issue (but it might be for some). Breakfast was a real highlight, freshly cooked produce presented by friendly and attentative waiting staff. "
