Hat Rock Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Really liked this place! Mexican Hat,, pop. 24? - not a mile from the famed rock formation. Middle of nowhere. Rustic. We were the first ones in for the night (I think) but 7-8 other vehicles showed up overnight. So quiet and peaceful! Our view from our 2nd floor exterior room: beautiful San Juan River a few hundred yards away and a beautiful rock backdrop. In the morning, we caught the sunrise on the Alhambra Rock slightly to the south. Beautiful! Pool area was clean and nicely done. We did not use as it was getting cool and breezy when we got there. Room was clean. They provided two little towels for people to wipe off their motorcycles—apparently, some were using the regular washcloths for that purpose. We did notice that one of the planks on corridor on way to the room was in need of repair. No breakfast, so we planned for that."

San Juan Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The staff are friendly & helpful. The restaurant gets busy but the food is good and convenient. I really like being able to sit outside to watch the river or walk down to the water. Lovely place to relax."

Goulding's Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were friendly and mostly welcoming. Restaurant was under renovation but overall was great. Amenities like gas station, grocery store and gift shop were great and convenient. The tour through Monument valley was amazing well worth your time! Only draw back was that I forgot my sweat jacket on the sofa when checking out and called 2 hours later and yet no one could find it. Was told 1 st call they would check and call me back but no call back came. Called everyday for 3 days straight and was given the run around about no keys to closet, no one there to check etc, which was really disappointing as Jacket was very sentimental although not terribly expensive."

Blue Sage Inn & Suites
8/10 Good
"The hotel was easy to find. The property is pretty old but has been cared for, the room was a decent size, the bed was soft which isn’t something I like and the bathroom is a good size. The main issues were the AC which was very noisy and the smell in room, the carpet and sofa looked clean but both were musty smelling. Sadly the windows don’t open so the room couldn’t be aired out. No info on breakfast as it didn’t start until 7:30am which is late. The office was closed at checkout (about 7am) so I had to text to let them know. If you stay here the pizza shop in the parking lot is a MUST TRY!!!"
