Monument Valley is an awe-inspiring place, especially at sunrise and sunset. To be close to these views, you need to stay at Gouldings or The View. Based on my experience, I would recommend The View hotel.

Clean room, quiet place, quick check in. It would be perfect if the shower sliding door close when showering. We stuck a towel between the glass to keep it from not sliding open. Overall, it was a great stay.
