We did have a problem with hot water and the electricity went out in our room. The staff was very responsive but could have comped us for our troubles. "We loved staying at the Leslie Castle. John & Nicole were great. We came by train and then planned to go by Uber to the Castle and found the one driver was on holiday. John & Nicole were so gracious to come and pick us up. Food was great. Nicole does a history of the castle after dinner each night which was so enjoyable and a tour of the castle. Our room was huge and we loved every minute of it. We walked to the little Hamlet of Leslie and met some of the locals. The weather was great...

"I spent five days at the lodge. The staff is excellent. Most have been working at the lodge for 20+ years. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and bathroom was small but functional. I appreciated being able to open the windows at night for fresh air. The pub is first rate. I strongly suggest having breakfast there. They have a selection of yogurts and cereal but the star of the show are the freshly made hot meals. I had eggs with toast and bacon each morning. Each plate is...

"What a find from the minute we arrived the friendly staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was homemade and delicious and breakfast was brilliant with a big choice"

"No parking spaces available (again), had to drive to the airport car park (17min walk back). Breakfast was ok, potato scone was burnt solid. Huge dirt stain on the bedroom carpet."

"On the plus side: lady orchestrating breakfast was top notch. Downstairs had been redone nicely, parking good and a nice garden area with good games. We had rooms on the top floor which had definitely seen better days. Sash windows didnt open properly or slid down and even in 25 deg heat rooms were unbearable even at midnight. Not an expensive place but you should be able to sleep."
