It was adequate for a night ; I wouldn't suggest staying any longer than that. The mattresses seemed to be new but were very hard, not good for side sleepers. It is in the process of renovation but has a lot of work still needed, particularly the bathroom. The pool was also out of order. Eat somewhere else. The bar was understaffed with only a single worker acting as both bartender and waiter. Management just stood there givng the poor guy a nasty look without help or direction. Food tasted like it was cheap frozen stuff that was just reheated. The apple pie wasn't even warm.

Nightmare

I had a serious issue with finding a place to eat on my stay. One of the restaurants was reserved for a private party however the other restaurant was totally abandoned. When I went there for dinner dirty dishes were still on tables. I went to the restaurant bar and was informed that I couldn’t get any food because the reserved restaurant had all the staff and food. I had to get into my car and drove over 10 miles to Oakland Maryland to get something to eat

We came in the off season, so most things were closed. But our room was comfortable and clean and very quiet. We only were served a grab-and-go breakfast, but it was ok for our needs. I don't think the restaurant was open because it was the off season. The few staff we did meet were friendly. The property looks very nice - a beautiful golf course, hiking trails, and plenty of boats for activities on the lake. I'm sure it is a very nice place to stay in the summer.

This is a nice area. The lodge is under renovation, kind of. They are installing new flooring. Not sure what else is going to happen. There are rooms that they allow for pet owners. This was a problem in the early morning as the dogs barked for a very long time. No sleeping in. Overall, the staff was nice, the rooms are dated but the area is beautiful.

La ubicación del resort es hermosa, puedes caminar, hacer actividades acuáticas, considero que tiene un precio justo. Lo que no me pareció para nada, es que el restaurante no está abierto siempre, todo lo que comimos, tuvo que ser de las tiendas cercanas, porque el restaurante no estaba abierto, ni para la cena ni para el desayuno.

Not so happy

Went to check in and was told dogs were an issue and we couldn’t stay in the rooms we booked. We were then moved to the older rooms which smelled significantly of mildew. The rooms did not look the same as what I had paid for online, the tv was not good, the beds and pillows were absolutely terrible. We spent the entire 3 nights there completely unable to sleep and tossed and turned all night. Nowhere when booking the room was I given an option to check that I was bringing dogs or given any notice that that would cause me to not get the room I reserved. I was led to believe that upon arrival I would have to notify the front desk that I had a dog with me and pay the $25 fee, didn’t realize this meant paying full price for a nicer room on top of the fee and getting moved to a very sub-par and uncomfortable room. Other than the room issues I will say the resort was beautiful and that the restaurant/ bar was very good and a nice place to eat and drink. Highly recommend stopping at least at the restaurant.

The overall property was beautiful but the room were extremely outdated! The rooms felts damp to a point that we had to turn the AC off and open the window and door to dry it out. Carpet felt wet, chairs were very old and dirty. I couldn’t sleep the 2 night we were there it was so bad

Something for all ages

Nice area, rustic facilities. Continental breakfast was as advertised, not great but perfectly adequate. The resort has nice facilities (golf course, indoor pool, fitness center, lake side swimming area and kayak rentals). Something for all ages.

Not worth it

Bed was very uncomfortable, shower had hair in it, tv sound wasn't working properly, just not worth the price at all

Room was cheap & did the job. We wanted to visit a brewery nearby and this was the closest place. We found used dirty underwear in our room. Check in is at 4 and the front desk also closed at 4, they put a lock on the door. Advertised a bar & lounge both of which were closed during our stay. Wasn’t looking for anything super fancy, but for it to be a resort it’s disappointing the condition the rooms were in. Everything was dated, carpet was kind of gross, and wondered if I should even sleep in the beds there.

The room could have been cleaner. Floor was dirty, bedding was stained and chair had a burn in it. The outdoors were beautiful and we enjoyed sledding and the pool area.
