"Hotel Jezero is the grand old lady of Bohinj. It's been here a while and in some ways it shows (eg room doors are locked with proper keys, not electronically) but it's still a fabulous hotel. Step outside and you're right on the lake, location can't be beaten. The pool and sauna are lovely, the breakfast has a lot of choice and I really appreciated the seeds and fresh and dried fruit options. I got upgraded to a twin room and it was very spacious."

"Two nights using the hotel as a base to visit Nova Gorica and Bled. Breakfast buffet was extensive - continental choices plus scrambled eggs and British sausage. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. The dining room staff sometimes does double duty at registration desk. Lots of tourist information. Bus stop is a 5 minute walk and train station is a couple of minutes longer."

Three negatives: (1) the walls are VERY thin; we could hear our neighbors talking fairly clearly from the hallway and in our room, (2) the shower is very small and was leaking over the floor and (3) there is no elevator so we had to carry our bags up the stairs, but the staff did offer to help! "The hotel is clean and well-appointed, if a little bit sterile compared to smaller hotels in Bled with more “character”. However the pool and sauna - with huge windows overlooking Lake Bled - are top notch. Worth visiting for those amenities alone!"
