"Set on a motorway services type estate with plenty of parking, car charging and food drive throughs. Not picturesque, you cant walk out to a pub/village. Wouldnt have stayed if known about the setting. Very close to Stonehenge which is why most might stay here."

"We really enjoyed our stay. We got in late and unfortunately there was really no option for getting food anywhere nearby, despite website making it sound as though there was food available. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable."

"Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"Lovely stay"

"The positives were the airy room and lovely garden. The big negative was the buffet breakfast which they proudly claim to be award-winning. The reality is that for a 4 star hotel, the quality and range of options was extremely poor. Too many short cuts and cost cutting. The veggie options were limitd and not displayed on the tables and there were no extras (eg crushed avocado) even if you were willing to pay a bit extra. There was no fruit yogurt in individual pots and no higher quality healthy...

"Nice welcome, even though very late arrival. Room spacious, comfortable and had a great sleep but decor could do with a refresh, especially in en-suite ( which was nice and big, with bath). Breakfast: great value. Donna very helpful, professional and friendly. Lovely stay. Would definitely stay again when travelling on this route. Big Sainsbury's nearby, with petrol station. Hotel only just over ½ an hour from ferry terminal."

"The outside looks a little tired We had a very warm welcome on arrival Check in was quick and easy We were shown to our room (10) the man made polite conversation. The room was a good size but very dated like staying at your grandma’s. The room was very clean, the towels were white, clean and soft. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept well. There is ample free parking. Overall a good stay for one night."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"A good hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast buffet good. Crazy practice of charging hotel guests to park but that seems to be a growing trend. Be honest and include the charge in the hotel costs instead of hiding additional costs."
