"Reception is small but front staff was very helpful. Common areas are neat and clean. They have free laundry, that guests can use. Breakfast is amazing. Furniture in the lobby and waiting area need attention. Overall good experience. Price is very reasonable."

"Terrible service; the receptionist, in particular, was completely unprofessional and looked angry. I booked a room with a deluxe king-size bed, but she gave me one with two queen-size beds. Instead of a pleasant stay, it was a terrible experience."

"Nice hotel. The hotel is clean and the staff is super friendly. Pretty close to downtown and uptown. I would definitely recommend renting a car because it is not walking distance to any main attractions. I would say the pool wasn’t open because the liner was being replaced and I did rent the hotel so I can use it but overall the stay was pleasant. Breakfast can definitely be better, it’s basically breakfast sandwiches every day (they do have other items) but the main breakfast is bread, egg,...

"The rooms are only cleaned every three days, unless you specifically ask that they be cleaned more frequently. We weren’t aware of this until we found out that our room had not been cleaned the next day. When we inquired at the front desk, that’s when we found out about the three-day rule."

"I stayed at the Whitehall Houston for a work event for 3 nights. This was not my favorite hotel stay for a few reasons:
Parking: parking is valet only for $59/night per car. We were not made aware prior to arrival so this was quite a surprise. I recommend parking in the garage across the street for a much cheaper price.
Roaches: during my stay, I saw about 5 roaches total. They were in the room and in the bathroom. When we told staff, they simply apologized and didn't let us know of any action...
