"We loved our stay at this gem of a BnB. The massive bed and the hearty breakfast gave us the energy to explore the area and made any jet lag a non-issue. Sue and Gary are wonderful hosts and provide as little or as much interaction as you want and were very helpful with ideas for locale, especially dinner. Sawby is a cute English town and the locals were very friendly when we went for walks."

"I found the parking ideal right outside property and very safe. The property was spotless couldnt fault a thing. The breakfast was the best we will stop there again when we are in the area."

"Ideal—great location, lovely well-equipped apt with kitchen, and points in the building to pick up any extras needed (eg more dishwasher tabs or towels). Just 15 mins walk from the aquarium, 5 to museums, and 10 or so to the train station."

"The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed and had modern facilities. The hotel was in a good location for visiting sites in the area. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also excellent."

"Spacious room , very clean , pleasant helpful front of house , quiet great nights sleep , 5-10 min walk to airport depending on how quick or slow you walk , plenty of car parking ( daily charge for parking) it's not a thousand pound a night hotel or a five pound a night b&b but a fair priced mid market value for money hotel"

"My daughter and I stayed at the Fox and Coney because we were attending a wedding locally. The management ensured we had a twin room. The room was clean. There were tea and coffee making facilities (much appreciated) the bathroom was nice with plenty of loo roll. There was plenty of space to hang our clothes. The beds were comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast next morning was excellent - both the food and the service. I would stay here again."

"The room is as spacious and clean. The choice at breakfast good. The staff efficient. It was a good base for exploring Hull old town and marina. We were given a room overlooking the busy ring road and the noise meant keeping windows closed. It would have been nice to have been allocated a room on the other side overlooking the marina especially as the hotel didn’t seem full. Car parking was £10 a day which seemed excessive as the space was right outside the hotel seemingly on their own land...

"The Ashbourne Hotel operates more like a budget airline experience, where additional charges apply for many basic amenities that other hotels typically include as part of the stay. This includes fees for bottled water, baby cribs, table fans, and even a late checkout of 30 minutes. The staff is minimal and often stretched thin, so expect limited room service. The building is quite old and shows signs of neglect and poor maintenance."

"All lovely breakfast was a little limited on items available. Be perfect if it had a park / soft play area for children"

"Sweet small hotel. Typical Brit pub on the main floor. Owner operated, wonderful people. I’d stay there again anytime!"

"Gets really hot in heatwaves Aircooling works but they turn it off at night Goodluck trying to have a good sleep They give you a small fan which is so noisy it just keeps you awake"
