The owners are very friendly and will help with any issue you have.
This is not a hotel but very much like a traditional ryokan in that you sleep on a futon on the floor.
Don't expect it to be a hotel as in Japanese ways it is not.
What you do get is very friendly hosts, that will try and accommodate you to their best.
We had a great stay and made new friends in the process.
We would certainly consider staying here again in the future.
Such an experience! end of snow season, so a lot fewer people than the average board day.
The hosts are super friendly and I purchased the breakfast and dinner package which they catered to extremely well, more food than one could eat. The hosts speak enough English to engage in good conversation but when it comes to explaining food, they go the extra mile.
For the price and the location of this lodge, you can't go wrong.
An extremely homey atmosphere and can live comfortably for solo our groups
Highly recommended if you are looking for a lodge on a smaller budget!!
OMG the location and customer service/hospitality is HARD TO BEAT. It's about 200 feet from the entrance to the piste, so it's practically ski in-ski out. The lobby is nicely done and warm, cozy, and has a nice, very welcoming cabin feel. The rooms were traditional Japanese style, and though not updated and walls were a little thin, it was fine and comfy overall. The bathrooms were to be expected in a share-type facility, but you generally don't spend the entire day in the toilet, so it's all good. The showers were newer and very nice and clean. The snowboard/ski and boots storage area is well ventilated and easily accessible directly from the porch. There were three wifi networks for the facility and it made it very convenient.
I highly recommend this place and will look at an excuse to go back to Tsugaike Kogen.
This is a really good house. We feel free to live here.
The hosts are very nice and they make food very well! The deep fried chicken is really good!
Will come again!
