"Amazing hotel, felt more like 4 stars than 3. The staff was very helpful and super friendly. We were upgraded to one of the bungalows close to the pool and the room was absolutely beautiful, only small negative was that the mattress was very hard. But that seems to be the norm on koh samui. "The Rock was a beautiful place. Staff was amazing and the place itself is beautiful. We stayed in the ocean front villa, which is actually three separate “rooms”. A kitchen - stove, fridge, toaster and toaster oven, kettle, etc, with place to sit to eat and a toilet. Then two separate suites for sleeping etc. We were two couples, so perfect for us. I would not try to do that at night without seeing it first in daylight and I drive mountains in ice and snow every winter. Aside from these minor issues it was an amazing experience. Five star luxury without the pretentious BS of a crowded, more expensive resort."
