The restaurant and bar closed at 9pm. It was march break , so, Pretty early. The hotel was packed apparently so why wouldnt you be open a little later. . This place could definitely use an upgrade . Staff was kind . Stay was underwhelming.

The Grotto Spa has been updated & is beautiful. Loved the assortment of saunas. Close by Coombs Market & Englishman’s River Falls and Parksville seaside beachfront park are a must see!!

Days Inn by Wyndham Nanaimo
Staff was friendly. Hotel smelled a little strange and musky. The carpet seemed quite worn. Room was clean however bathroom was very small and inconvenient to use with family. Bed was a little uncomfortable. Pool was clean and did not have a strong chlorine smell. The free breakfast was okay but ...

Bayside Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort
Great beachside location with direct access for beach combing when the tide is out. The restaurant had an oceanfront view as well. Enjoyed our time here and would recommend an ocean view room so you can soak in the view from your patio.
