"LUV ♥️"

"The room was a good size and spacoius, large bed with good facilities, the only thing that let it down was the smell from the drains, but that could be to do with the hot weather we’ve had recently."

"Don’t get me wrong, it’s rustic and charming with an interesting history and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was made to order and Sunday roast was impressive. All that’s good, but wear earplugs if you’re planning to get any sleep! The mattress was saggy and had very pokey springs. The location made it very noisy - weekends there are people partying in the streets until 3am and Monday at 4:30am the street-cleaner starts cleaning the block. "Rooms and bar needs redecorating out dated and not clean"

"Nice location. It is a very good choice for solo travellers."

"It was an ok visit but we wouldn't go back - just wasn't an inviting experience - and no dinner served on Monday meant we had to go out"

"All was very good"

"Over all not the stay we were hoping for. The carvery roast and breakfast was good and the staff were nice. But the spa was not included in the room cost as described making it not worth £148 a night, the 4 poster bed was not as described in the online photos and the bedroom window opens up over another rooms private hot tub where they allow other guests to smoke all night filling our room with smoke."

"The overall, feeling of a very nice place to stay, food ambience staff, where it is. Once you realise the sat nav wants to take you down a road that’s going to be closed for a year ,a drive all the way round the barracks and plenty parking . We would go back k if in the area again"

"We loved staying in an historic hotel. So charming. The rooms were simple, in need of renovation, but clean with comfortable beds. Stepping into the pub was like going back in time. Great beer there, food not so great. The staff was very friendly and helpful."
