It’s no wonder that so many reviews for The Outlook Inn mention the host, Serena. She was so helpful and welcomed us with a huge smile.
The Outlook Inn was the perfect location for our stay, on beautiful Spring Street, a short walk to Thames Street’s restaurants and shops but on a quiet street for a comfortable nights sleep.
Our room was on the top floor and was very spacious, beautifully decorated and had the most amazing shower room. The toiletries were generous and smelt lovely.

Had the most wonderful stay here, amazing staff and catered for our gluten free requirement with a delicious, huge breakfast. Extremely comfy bed with beautiful decor, and effective air conditioning. Walking distance to the best, most vibrant area of Newport. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We would recommend emailing with any special requests separately as they did not seem to be receiving messages we sent through Expedia.

The are having building work on the outside at the moment and changing windows, but I predict this little gem will become a 4 star-rated hotel in no time. Lovely staff would stay again.
Only possible negative was no standard oven and the usual lack of a kettle which coming from the UK we are used to but we were able to heat water in the microwave so did not miss out on our cuppa!
