"We stayed at this hotel two nights because we were in town for a dance competition for my daughter. I got a text message the day before we were supposed to check in that they were undergoing some construction/ renovations. I had the hotel booked for several months. They told me if I needed to cancel my reservation they understood… but where am I gonna find another hotel last minute for a reasonable price? Our room was great. It was totally renovated and beautiful beds were comfortable no complaints there. The lobby was a complete mess, due to construction. Only breakfast available was bagels and yogurt. Front parking lot is closed due to construction so parking was only in the back and it was very limited. I was very worried that we weren’t going to find a parking spot the one night but luckily there was a few left. You had to go up and downstairs to get to that parking lot. The check-in girl was amazing. She was so friendly and did the best she could to explain about the construction. I bet once they’re done with all their construction it’s going to be beautiful, but it was kind of inconvenient."

"The Fontaine is in our rotation when traveling to KC. It continues to be very suitable for its location, cleanliness, comfort and value. Are the rooms in need of updating? maybe, but not to extent of calling them tired. We love visiting the bar on the 7th floor off the pool deck, though pool was not open for the season yet on this stay. Some of the best happy hour drinks you'll find anywhere! On matter of bathroom towel racks, none except one in the shower, not sure why there aren't any on the bathroom walls. Regardless, we'll be back, "

"We needed a quiet and comfy place to stay while visiting KUMC. The property was beautiful, the beds divine and the staff so helpful. We will definitely stay again!"

"Room was clean, very comfortable and quiet. Staff was very helpful and attentive, especially with the inclement weather. The 11th floor breakfast area was fabulous, including concierge service, delicious food (plentiful), pleasant (calm) with amazing views."

"Pros: Kind staff, good hot breakfast, clean room, quiet room, comfrotable bed, good TV channel selection, strong air conditioning, very cold refrigerator. Will stay again in the future. Cons: Very low shower water pressure on third floor but good sink water pressure in the same room, smelly heater, almost zero Wi-Fi upload speed but solid download speed, poor T-Mobile cellular data in the room as a backup due to surrounding buildings, very tight and awkward parking lot to enter and exit but understandable for this part of town."
