"The staff were cheerful, and helpful. The bedrooms were clean, comfy, with large T.V. Modern ensuite bathroom with choice of bath or shower, AND quality toilet paper. If I was being picky, the only thing thing the bedroom lacked was a fridge and a lift to the 2nd floor. The hotel is also dog friendly and allowed in the bar area if you want food. The hotel carpark, was also operated by a barrier which gave piece of mind. I would definitely use the hotel again if stopping in the area."

"Would have been a 5 star review but I asked the first night if staff could kindly remind other residents to move away from the front steps of the building whilst smoking kate at night as it comes into the bedroom window. Second night I had to ask 3 different gentlemen to please move away as their smoke was keeping me awake and affecting my asthma. Two were very apologetic and moved but the 3rd I got abuse from and it was not nice😞."

"The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."

The staff at this hotel are very well mannered, attentive and successful in what they do regardless of obvious pressures. "The hotel is charming and in an excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury. The room was very comfortable. As the hotel is in a very old building you need to be aware of steps and slopes in the floor and the stairs are quite steep (no lift). The bar is good, and the food we had at both dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. The hotel has a small car park, with quite a narrow entrance. We were fine getting in, but, in any case there is plenty of reasonably priced parking not far away....
